I'm a design leader.

I've spent about 18 years leading design at the intersection of commerce, advertising, and fintech: Microsoft and Google early on, then Square, Shopify, and most recently Meta, where I was Director of Product Design on the Facebook monetization team. The thread across all of it is designing the systems where creators, merchants, and businesses actually make money.

Along the way I've led organizations ranging from 18 to 54 people, product designers, content designers, UX writers, researchers, and the managers who lead them. I lead ICs of every level, the managers above them, and most recently, AI agents.

I lead hands-on. I still create the frameworks, set the design direction, and hold the bar myself. The case studies below show that range: a system I designed from the ground up, a product I shipped on my own by directing an AI engineer, an exploration I sponsored and protected, and a platform I unified across a siloed org.

  • Good ideas come from anywhere.
  • Be data informed, balancing the quantitative with real human understanding.
  • Set clear goalposts, then grant the autonomy to reach them.
  • Create a safe space for risk taking, where failure is a learning tool.
